How many people switch hands?

Ok, I do a lot of things kind of weird, but this by far is the weirdest I’ve ever done.

I’m right handed, so I golf right handed, right? For the most part, that’s correct. My driver thru my lob wedge are all right handed clubs. However, my putter is a lefty putter. I recently bought it when I tried it out for fun at a sports store and I kept hitting the ball in the hole with really good accuracy.

Then here’s the really weird part. I hold my left handed putter with a reverse grip (I hold it like a right handed club). I don’t know how, but it works for me.

Anyone else have something like this?

That is weird, but you may just be using a grip that a lot of pros use. If it works for you great.

I’m a lefty but I golf righty - I tried putting left handed, but I found that I rolled it better with a righty putter - if it works for you, stick with it - Notah Begay III has an ambidextrous putter and he’ll putt from both sides during a round depending on the break of the putt

If it works, go for it. I’m considering taking up golf, and I’m left handed, but if I do start playing, I’m going to learn right-handed.

im a lefty….whos gone righty every and cant decide if i want to change back to righty or stay lefty as its getting expensive……..

I am left handed, but I play golf right handed and putt left handed. Notah Begay putts from both sides but Blaine Mc allister plays the same way as you and I. Mac O’grady played on tour with a set of right handed clubs and would switch to left handed clubs on occasion.

Some pros who golf righty use a right handed putter with a left handed grip.

I am left handed, however I golf right handed and can’t hit a ball worth a darn left handed. I am ambidextrous.

Hi,
I am dominant with my right hand, but I play most sports ambidexterously, including golf. I play wih right handed clubs, but i carry a left handed 9 iron in order to get out of tight spots whenever i have a bad shot with the right hand.
Putting is all about feel and confidence, Jim Furik uses a reverse grip on his putter. Rory Sabatini uses a reverse grip when getting out of bunkers. For shots that don’t require a full swing grip is about feel.

I DID THAT . haha except im left handed right and play right handed. so my grip was reversed. I asked my pro if anything was wrong bout it and he said no if it works fer me it works and if it doesnt try the regular grip which he showed me. well i tried the regular grip and ive actually been playing better wit my drivers, irons. i still use a reverse grip fer my putter cuz idk it is more acurate fer some reason. it doesnt rely matter fer ur putter wht ever ur most comfortable wit.
